Behind The Scenes: The New Food Network Commercial
![]() |
Is it us, or is the new Food Network “pound it, kneed it, roll it, beat it, mix it, fix it, put it on a biscuit” commercial that’s on every 5 minutes really annoying? Who wrote this jingle, Dr. Seuss? Or Sunny Anderson after one too many mojitos? Sorry, but I don’t want to hear about Aaron McCargo BEATING IT. He can keep that little tidbit to himself.
Let’s take a behind the scenes look at this new weekend spot:

THIS WEEK: Another tailgating weekend! Alex G's onion rings, an awful slow cooker experience, Ina & Jeffrey Garten's lame steak throwdown, Jennifer Hudson's annoying Weight Watchers commercial, Restaurant Impossible's cheap makeovers, and more.

Alex Guarnaschelli has a serious problem with excess hair and is in need a complete wax session.
Hey, I was wondering how to get ahold of Sunny Anderson. I think she would make a good spokesperson for my company. I know my company would pay her way more than the Food network.
Who is Alex Guarnaschelli?! I’ve never even heard of the guy and I watch food network fairly obsessively!
Alex Guarnaschelli is a she you stain, and has a show “The Cooking Loft” on FN as well as being an contestant on ICA.She is also called upon as a judge from to time.
Where have you been the last 6 months ?
I thought Alex Guarnaschelli was the guy in the photo. I didn’t realize Alex = Alexandra. I’ve seen her, but never caught her name. I still don’t know who that guy is with the rolling pin. Does anybody know?!
That’s Danny Boome. I think he is an Aussie fudgepacker. Another FN lowbudget find they keep trying to make us like.
Has show with a 911 concept.Real original uh . I hear it is a real shit show , so I can’t tell you much about it.
I think they call his show Rescue 911 . Food novices that need help loading up the slow cooker I guess.
I also had no idea who this Danny Boome guy is. I went to Food Network’s site, and the picture they have of him there doesn’t even look like the same guy that’s in this new annoying commercial.
He looks a little too happy to be wielding that rolling pin.
These pictures here do not do anyone justice. Chef Alex looks like an alien in the above photo, but actually she is kind of cute and adorable with a real sweet demeanor. And unlike most FN personalities, she is a trained chef with a sucessful restaurant, Butter .
She is in another league as compared to McCargo,BoomeBlaster, and Aida.
Have you seen the size of Alex Guarnaschelli’s caboose recently ?
I saw her judge on another lame-o FN Challenge, “The Next Great Chef” ( which was a freaking disgrace) and she came off as the next coming of ALice Waters. Like she has paid her dues right ?
Whre do FN get some of these clown judges ? Kerry Vincent pastry expert ?? UH ???
Chef Alex came as off as idiot judge and this just make these competitions even more meaningless and stupid.
She came off as ugly and her growing buttocks only support that.
I am not getting Sunny Anderson at all.Seems like a nice enough person but she seems way outta her comfort zone in front of a camera.
Is this a FN strategy ? offer no training, give a 6 episode trial and see if anyone watches.
I know they desparately want more people of color to be represented on the station, but it seems like they don’t look at how unsuitable these candidates are in the long run. McCargo is a hospital line cook they are trying to make into something. Sunny is an average home cook.
I don’t know.Someone said Food Network is turning into a farce.Well I think they reached that level a few years ago and it now experiencing the downward implosion you get when you offer 3 rd rate programs and personel.
Did that crappy show from last year called Rescue Chef with Danny Boome get cancelled? I think it did because he’s peddling cooking classes on Twitter now! LOL
