I saw a Chopped episode recently where she criticized a chef for barbecuing a squab. She called it a “sacrilege”. The other 2 judges actually complimented the chef for how well it was cooked and the sauce.
I wonder if she knows that Mario Batali (former Iron Chef) has a recipe for barbecued squab.
What a complete snob.
Lady, at the end of the day, you’re all just cooking food to make it taste good. You’re not gods in the kitchen.

I think that as chef she tries to judge to the best of her knowledge. I saw her competing in Iron Chef ans she is really good and probably knows a lot… but it’s true, sometimes when the other chefs are talking she gives then the “look”, and i actually wonder what’s that about… Also, if you see all of these shows where they judge people there is always a bad one, is part of the show and keep the tension

So true, so true. I would LOVE to see that self-centered moron compete in Chopped. She is terrible! She looks like a snake that’s getting ready to steal something. Awful…just awful.

Alex is THE most annoying person on any network to me. She thinks she knows everything about everything and I’m to the point where I don’t watch Chopped anymore because of her. And it used to be on my DVR list to watch religiously.
I’ve eaten at Butter twice now (where Alex is the executive head chef)…it sucks! What in the world does Food Network seen in her? She’s not talented, she’s not creative, she is the center of her own universe, she is an IDIOT! Please disappear Alex….or at least shut that big, fat mouth of yours. You are not the best, you not even close. So deal with it and stop trying to make others feel bad because you suck so bad.
And that smug look on your ugly face only makes it worse, hence the reason I don’t watch them, and apparently plenty of others also.
