Rachael Ray’s Throat Surgery

Published on: July 10, 2009 – 8:32 pm by Jillian Madison Comment

Last week, Rachael Ray had a surgical procedure to remove a benign growth on her vocal cords. Her rep confirmed the operation was a success, and that she’s currently resting comfortably at home. Not surprisingly, he also said her biggest challenge has been keeping quiet. Instead of speaking, she has been writing out messages on pieces of paper:

I can just see it now:

Only this website could link faked orgasms to rachael ray’s vocal chord surgery. That’s why I love you, FNH.

She had vocal cord surgery last week, and the tabloids and People mag are only reporting it now?! What is going on with the world! :)

LOL this was funny. I wonder if she’s a shitty, stingy tipper in real life, or if that’s just on her old $40 a Day show.

Oh I am so happy to hear Rachael did have her surgery. I love to read the fun posts here – but Rachael having surgery is really not for poking fun at. I hope she recovers and comes back stronger than ever. Get Well Soon Rachael :)

Oh, I’m praying for Rachael, all right…praying for her to GO AWAY FOREVER. Surely she has enough money by NOW, right?

  9. July 11th, 2009

    @Carla,
Rachael’s surgery is not for poking fun at? I beg to differ! It’s not like she is ill or this was any major procedure. Even Conan, Dave, and the other late night talk show hosts are joking about it. She’s fine, she’s home, she’s recuperating, so I say snark on.

I would write a message back telling her to STFU.

Let’s be serious and talk prayer worthy: our soldiers, our out of work neighbors, our hungry children…. but RR? Please.

Wait… Late night hosts are making fun of Rach… say it isn’t so!!! I read she is fine and home too… but in all fairness, anything could go wrong with any surgery, so I don’t think poking fun when someone is sick is a great thing. Just me. But with that said, my question is: Do you really think Rachael can NOT talk for 2 weeks? And I wonder if homeless looking husband is taking care of her?

I’m probably going to get slammed for this, but I don’t find her husband all that UNattractive. I find him kind of cute!

    Well I’m glad she’s OK.
So now she’ll be talking even louder and faster than ever before ?!!? Oh dear. Guess I’ll still be hitting mute and reading captions.

No one’s poking fun at her surgery. And even if people were, SO WHAT? Is your skin that thin? I believe they’re poking fun at her. And quite mildly, I might add.

All you do-gooder types who scrunch your nose and say “Oh it’s not nice to make fun of people” might be happier at Rachael Ray’s official website, where everyone kisses her ass 24.7…

For what it’s worth, I can’t stand her.

I for one am glad she got that surgery. She was starting to sound a little like Phyllis Diller.

the healing spirit of michael jackson? you are kidding with that right? fucking bloody hell……

Interesting, since her husband confirmed she had the same surgery on a NYC radio show (it was linked for all to hear) back in December, about 10 days before Christmas, IIRC.

I wonder if that surgery failed b/c she didn’t take it seriously enough? Second surgeries aren’t good…think of 70’s singer Bonnie Tyler.

I wonder how this impacts her taping schedule at FN? This is usually the time of year when she does her travel shows (she usually tapes her 30MM shows in June…it’s sad that I know all this, but she came to my neck of the woods last year during the last week of July for the travel show).

  21. July 13th, 2009

About time someone got her to stop talking.

    I hope Isabu mauls her.
