Guy Fieri Lookalike On The Simpsons
Posted on August 11th 2009 by Jillian Madison

FNH reader Riley just saw an episode of The Simpsons called “Take My Wife, Sleaze” and sent us an e-mail letting us know about a character’s uncanny resemblance to a Food Network star.

At the beginning of the episode, while the Simpsons are watching TV together, a commercial for a 50′s diner called Greaser’s comes on. A chubby douchebag with a goatee and a bowling shirt is promoting the place… and a few seconds later, he jumps into an old red convertible and drives away! Hmm, does that remind you of anyone?!

The characters are almost identical, except for two things: the Simpsons character had the sense to not wear ugly sunglasses, and he also had a girl with him. Poor Fieri drives around making all that money by his lonesome.

Hilariously enough, the episode was made in 1999, so the Simpsons creators weren’t even specifically mocking Fieri. So that leaves us with two explanations: either Guy stole his schtick from an old Simpsons character named Wolfguy Jack, or the Simpsons writers owned one hell of a crystal ball and successfully predicted the existence of the terrifying Fieri shows we’re all being bombarded with today.

(Thanks for the tip, Riley!)

    That’s funny.

And Wolfman Jack probably is the style inspiration for Fieri.

  2. Designerjeans says:

He’s more like Poochie the dog. I write it up if I ever finish my w ork load.

  3. Kitty says:

    That’s pretty much amazing. XD

  4. tunaman says:

Yeah, I always thought it was just a Wolfman Jack parody…

  5. R says:

    So true!!!

To continue with the Simpsons/Fieri comparisons, Anthony Bourdain has said a couple of times that Guy Fieri is like the Simpsons character Poochie.

  6. April March says:

Yikes! That’s eerie. I wonder if there’s a Paula Deen type character in the Simpson’s archives?!

  7. Laurie says:

OMG!!! The hair, the shirt, the red convertable, the diner, you could never convince me Fi-eddy wasn’t inspired by this cartoon!

  8. Byrdie says:

…you have just entered The Twilight Zone….

  9. Scoobie-Doobie-Doo says:

Seriously. Are you too much of a puppy not to know who the Legendary Wolfman Jack was?

    Sheesh.

  10. Lana says:

Too funny! I’d never thought of it before, but yeah. There is a bit of resemblance between Guy and Wolfman Jack. Way to go Simpsons ….

  11. Kenneth says:

You know, I think Guy is a freakin weirdo too, but I have to admit that a lot of the food on Guy’s Big Bite looks really good to me.

  12. Lollipop says:

    That is just bizarre.

  13. Shorty says:

I would watch the show if there was nothing on. I just close my eyes when he turns around because I do NOT want to see the freakin’ sunglasses on the back of that freakin’ tool’s head! Also, the cartoon has WAY better hair.

  14. Robb says:

    Your name is PISS?

  15. Arch Stanton says:

Yeah, that’s modeled after Wolfman Jack. Though, Anthony Bourdain has compared Fieri to Poochie.

  16. Hakuna Fritatta says:

Dang, and here I thought it was going to be Poochie. This guy looks more like Wolfman Jack.
