Bobby Deen Posts Twitter Photo With His “Girl”

After sharing last night’s riveting photo of his room service dinner, Bobby once again took to Twitter thismorning to post a photo of him at an “Angel’s game with my girl.” [For the record, the incorrect apostrophe placement is his, not ours.] After several fans wrote benign comments like “cute couple!” and “hey, who are you dating,” Bobby fired back with the following curt, defensive message on Twitter: “I appreciate the well-wishes, but instantly regret posting the pic. Conversation about her is off limits.”
Well stick me on the fire and poke me ’til I’m done! Bobby Deen posts a photo in a public forum, and then tells people they can’t say anything about it? Who does he think he is? My freshman year Art History professor? Get real, Bobby. This is the internet. There’s no such thing as “off limits” when YOU ARE THE ONE WHO PUT THE PHOTO OUT THERE TO BEGIN WITH. And besides, no one said anything bad. So why are you acting more defensive than Derek Jeter with a 1-0 lead in the bottom of the 9th?

Wow. Do you think he got caught trying to pass his brother’s wife off as his girlfriend, to the people who didn’t know what she looked like? Seems like DeenWatch has been on heavy patrol lately, trying to squelch the “Bobby’s Gay” rumors, like there’s something wrong with that.
Is there really still that much of a stigma about being gay in the south? Because I’m in NYC and let me tell you, there is thankfully zero stigma here these days.

There is nothing wrong with being gay. Its the covering it up part that makes me want to hurl, and that whole rediculous plastic image they force on the public.
In most families I think grown men who sit on their asses while Mommy still takes care of them arent mentioned much–It’s a scourge in real life–But they put it out for the masses like its something to be proud of.

All good points, and, add to this list Paula’s upcoming talkfest, “Mom Logic”. PD will need to prove to her public that she is a great mom who raised two fine sons.

Good point, and shame on Mama Deen if she is insisting that Bobby appear to the public to be something that he is not. There has been a major push in recent months to improve Bobby’s image when the rumors of his sexual preferences emerged in the media. IMO, Paula is driving the bus to protect herself, her public persona, and her earning power.

She was telling Marc Summers something to the effect of how Bobby was voted one of the most eligible bachelors in the country. That might be all well and good, but I think Paula should focus less on image and just let her family be whatever it is.

I posted about the “most eligible bachelor” thing upthread. It was in People Magazine in 2006 when Bobby was listed among the Top 50 Most Eligible Bachelors. Paula is trying way to hard to promote her son’s image of being “a ladies man”. Mama Deen needs to let Bobby live his own life. jmo

It’s true. Bobby Deen threw what can only be described as a hissy fit on Twitter. Here’s what happened:
1. He posted the photo of him and “his girl.”
2. A bunch of people started saying “cute couple,” and asking him questions about who the girl was. Bobby, seemingly out of nowhere, lashed out on Twitter and wrote that talking about her was “off limits.”
3. The next day, even more out of the blue, Bobby sent a final message out on Twitter that read: “I won’t be posting anymore. Enjoy.”
No one really knows what his problem is, or why he quit Twitter, but it must have had something to do with people questioning him about the photo he posted.
Maybe he doesn’t need to post anymore keep his mouth shut, pictures to himself then he won’t have to worry about people asking questions. Jamie blogs etc., are more fun to read anyway…what a talented guy!
What a big freakin’ cry baby. Unless I’m misunderstanding something, Twitter’s sole purpose for existing is to broadcast your life for others to read about and comment on. So he’s just going to take his toys and stomp on home to Mama now? What a loser.

I think this is all ridiculous!! As a friend, I can tell you that he was asked to post a pic. He regretted it the minute he put it up. I guess he should have known there were idiots all over the country gonna make a big deal out of it. Is he not allowed to have a life besides what the public sees? If it weren’t for such people going around saying he is gay all the time, the pic may not have shown up to begin with. There was no hidden message, no nothing. As for the room service, he likes to share, (used to share), parts of his life with his fans, who appreciate that. Leave the man alone! Why would anyone be asked to post a picture, not unless it was by an over jealous girlfriend?? He is a grown man and should have thought it through “more” before posting and doing. He is old enough to know the consequensces of such things. Considering there were no “crude” coments to the picture, there is no reason for the man to get mad or irriated towards everyone, and therfore no one was being an “idiot.” HE is the one who chose to post and then turn around and be a jerk but yet Twittering things such as “California love” on his post…maybe he should rethink his game plan before posting etc., if he wants to be a “private” person living in the public eye. If someone is that much of a jerk, no wonder they have been “single” for so long and have to find much younger because no one else his own age will put up with that kind of bull!
Get over yourself, Debby. We have every right to discuss his life. He’s the one choosing to live in the public eye. i went to their book signing at Wegman’s in Bridgewater yesterday and the girl in the photo was sitting next to him at the signing table. As much as i hate to think it (i want him for myself!! LOL!!…what a sweetheart!!) i think she IS his girlfriend. Very pretty girl (and here i thought he winked at me!!HAHA!! Why would he do that when he had such a lovely girl sitting next to him??) At first i thought she might be Melissa Clark who writes something in this cookbook, but from the photo posted on Twitter, it was definatley her!! Boo…now i’m really depressed and will have to eat an entire pint of Haagen Daz all by myself! Both of Paula’s sons are sweet, I like Bobby’s personality better, he seems like he’d be more fun to hang out with! Jamie’s cute, but once ya get past that…ah…nuthin!! Bobby and that same girl were also at a book signing at his Uncle Bubba’s restaurant in Savannah, GA on October 14, 2009. There are a lot of photos of them on the Savannah Morning Newspaper’s site. You have to go to http://www.spotted.savannahnow.com and type PAULA in the search box. None of the people in the photos are identified.
What is the matter with you people. Do you not have lives to attend to? BTW, I was not looking for this site or these comments, they were brought to my attention. I do have a life to attend to. I can personally vouch that Bobby is not gay. That is not Jaime’s wife. He is a nice man trying to live his life and at the same time trying to please people because he is in the spotlight. And yes, that is Katy Mixon and it is his girlfriend. What is wrong with that? Cut the kid a break.

I do have a life, I was directed to this link by somebody else. I personally know him and felt compelled to defend them especially when they did nothing wrong. Can you imagine what you feel like if everything that you did and/or said or everybody you dated was dissected, ripped to shreds or criticized by people who don’t even know you or walk in your shoes? I don’t think you would appreciate it much.
That happens here where we live everyday and it is called “life” just none of us happen to be famous. LoL Hey if you live in the public eye you have a lot of crap thrown your way. So he needs to pull out his straw and SUCK IT UP! It is another day in paradise!

It is STUPID to “POST” a picture of yourself and the one you are dating and get all pissy about it when others comment and ask questions. ESPECIALLY when you have had that particular person with you at the book signings all along. Very pathetic…maybe it was posted and commented on Twitter like it was because “not enough people” got the word out he was with someone during the book signings and that there is a girl up his butt while he was writting away?? Self centered maybe? SAD day when you get pissy with people because of your own doings, but yet you are the one that has put it out there for everyone to see. Makes you see people in a different light.
Funny how before all this he stated on the PodCast he was single, now all the sudden he is with someone that has been on the book tour even before that comment. (If I remember correctly) That makes a lot of sense. She talks like a baby and you can hardly hear her. Grow a dang backbone and speak into the damn microphone girl! So my next question is, what is the difference between having the picture on Twitter compared to having a “girlfriend announcement” on the PodCast?? (Yes that is what it sounded like and boring!) 12 years younger are you kidding?? People, leave the man alone! Think about how you would feel if the world questioned your every move..noone would like it! Yes, he is a public figure but you don’t need to know everything about his private life..I think you all need to get a life!
I know one thing, going through life in the closet is sheer hell. How do I know? Because I was in the closet all of my life. I always went to niteclubs with girls just for the cover up. My whole life revolved around what people would think of me. Mainly, my family, friends, etc. Now that I am older I wonder what in the hell I was doing. When I first saw Bobby Deen on the show years ago, I did think he was gay. One gay knows another gay. Just the mannerism, the stare and everything else that goes with it. I was growning up during the 60’s and being gay then wasn’t widely accepted as it is now. But like I wrote before, being in the closet isnt a pleasant feeling. Escaping family events early to be with your significant other, a private motel room, stealing moments of love to be with another guy. I didnt ask to be born this way, just knew I was in elementary school and it progressed from there. I was with 3 women in my life, but my preference went to men. So take it from there. Now that I am older and alone I dont feel so ostracised (spelling?). It is just me and my two small dogs. Regards to all
i don’t care if he is gay or not i still think he is a hottie. I just wonder haven’t any of you referred to a friend as “my girl” or “my boy”? who says that he wasn’t doing just that. I have a boyfriend and i refer to my girl friends as “my girl” no one assumes i am a lesbian. I also call some of my male friends “my boy” once again no one assumes i am cheating on my boyfriend. So why all comments about a picture that he didn’t feel needed explanation. why you’ll think that people in the public eye should tell all about every aspect of their lives. Are you all willing to air your laundry for everyone to see? Don’t any of you have things you keep private. Do you have to explain every relationship you have in your life? People make me laugh, they focus on everyone else rather then worry about their own lives. What is missing in your life that you need to try to break others down? This is a question some of you should ask yourself. I bet half of you are middle aged and can’t keep a relationship, or are jobless and spend most of your day on the computer (which i don’t knock it’s tough to find a job nowadays.) or you just have no social life at all and hide behind a computer cause the people on the other end are the only friends you have, you are the people who are negative. Maybe if you stopped talking about everyone and said something nice or just ignored the nasty comments KARMA would find it’s way to you.
Why is everybody making such a fuss over Bobby Deen posting a picture of him and his girlfriend? Katy is such a sweet girl and you better remember her name. She’s actually going to be starring in CBS’s new comedy “Mike & Molly” next fall. She has also done lots of other great work. If Bobby is gay or bisexual it’s not his responsibility or duty to tell the public. That is something extremely personal. Lay off of him. I kinda hope he’s not gay though because they make a cute couple!

If you all watched Paula’s shows you would have seen the one yesterday where Bobby brought Katy Mixon on and introduced her as his girfriend. She does not look a thing like Brooke, Jamie’s wife.

I agree….that he is gay. I just saw him on his Mom’s show with her and also his trainer…he was more attentive to the trainer than his “girl”. He even said that his trainer “is a beautiful man”. Eventho the trainer is married I thik Bobby is in love with him too…..so sad when men in the public arena are pressured into the closet

That’s not Brooke. That girl is smiling. Brooke doesn’t smile and I think that she and Paula don’t get along at all. Probably the only reason Paula has anything to do with Brook is so she can see Jack.
