Food2 Has An Unhealthy Relationship With Glee

Published on: September 24, 2009 – 12:39 am by Jillian Madison Comment

When we logged into Twitter this evening, we were a bit horrified to see the crew of Food2 had completely hijacked our main page with dozens of tweets about… GLEE. Not recipes, not cooking tips, but ridiculous lyrics and various other jib-jab from the show GLEE. Uh, what gives, Food2? Did a 12 year old girl hijack your Twitter account?! Wait, don’t tell me… tomorrow night’s subject is going to be how  dreamy Zac Efron looks in the moonlight?

Don’t hate us, Food2. WE KID BECAUSE WE LOVE.

HOLYSHIT that is funny. I just unfollowed them tonight because of that.

Well, in all fairness, Zac Efron DOES look dreamy in the moonlight…

I’m LMAO. That’s exactly what my Twitter page looked like tonight too (I only follow about 15 people and they’re one of them).

I don’t know what’s worse: tonight’s twittering about Glee or the stuff they usually post. Yawn. I keep waiting for them to Tweet about something interesting but it’s usually just a bunch of questions to desperately try to drum up conversation. “What are you eating for lunch!”

Oh! Did you see they replied to you on Twitter? You asked:

FNHumor: Any particular reason you guys been twittering about Glee for the last hour? Did a 12 yr old girl hijack your Twitter account?

    And they replied:

Food2: @FNHumor Our staff is a proud, feisty band of 12-year old girls… Why?

Yes!!! If I wanted to follow Glee, I’d follow Glee. 100% agreement.

Yay! They stopped talking about Glee after you sent them that mesasge!!! FNH you are my hero. I was considering unfollowing them but now am glad I didn’t. I usually enjoy their Tweets.

Meh. I wouldn’t have a high expectation of intelligent discourse with a Twitterer that lists “low grade shenanigans” in their bio…

It amuses me that you don’t hesitate to call somebody out TO THEIR FACE for being an assclown. Love that.

I guess the peeps at FN2 know that any program on any other station is way more entertaining than the garbage they currently air, so this is their way of expressing it.Amateurs abound at every level at FN.

@Syd “It amuses me that you don’t hesitate to call somebody out TO THEIR FACE for being an assclown. Love that.”

That is hands down my favorite part about this site. They say things that we are all thinking, but no other blog or media outlet would have the balls to say. It’s all just one big circle jerk. You kiss my ass if I kiss yours type thing.

    Keep it up FNH!

Shorter F2… our network is boring, let’s watch something else…

  17. September 24th, 2009

OK, ummm, I have to admit that I love the show Glee…hangs head in embarassment…snaps head back up…wait…at least I don’t Twitter about it, right?

I like the show too, Seeker Mommy. And I have Twittered about it. BUT, 1) it was one message and 2) I’m not Food2’s official Twitter!!!!!

I think above commenter Sarah had a point. How bad is their own stuff that you spend an entire night incessantly talking about stuff on another network?

  19. September 24th, 2009

Well, I have never heard of Glee and have never even looked at Twitter. Now, I have absolutely no desire to check out either.

Hey, Glee is a good show. It’s actually pretty funny and well written and only a tad cheesy. Plus, it’s got Jane Lynch (”Best in Show”, “Mighty Wind”). But no, I’m not going to Tweet about it.

  21. September 24th, 2009

The commercial with the Journey song was enough to turn me off from watching it…

I tried tuning into Glee last night to see what all the hype was about. I saw 30 seconds of some girl with a poorly covered up tattoo on the inside of her left wrist, butchering some song I’d never heard of before on my life. I like Jane Lynch a lot, but even she couldn’t make me want to tune into that show.

I watched Cougar Town instead. I went into it expecting to hate it, but ended up loving it. Really funny show.

Maybe I should go twitter about it? :)

I watched soley to see Jane Lynch. But even her presence on the show didn’t keep my interest. BORING. The stories are sooo predictable. I really hoped it would be good, but not so much. Onward to better things. I spent my time watching reruns of ‘The Office’. Buh-bye Glee.

  23. September 24th, 2009

I love Glee, but I dislike Twitter. I also have no idea what this FN2 is…is it like MTV2? I’m sure it’s as big a joke as MTV2, anyway.
