What can I say. The man is funny. You can follow him on Twitter here.

(Adam lost to Aaron McCargo on Season 4 of Next Food Network Star. I wanted him to win. I also wanted a Vespa scooter. I never get what I want. Come to think of it, sorry, Adam. You probably lost because of me.)

    LOL! Adam is awesome.

  2. oh_come_on says:

    @Jillian,
I laughed so hard watching him milk goats.
Why don’t you ask him what he thinks of Melissa McBacon.

  3. wasabi prime says:

I’m glad he’s got a good sense of humor about things. I guess you have to be when you walk into one strange food related job every day. I have to give him a lot of credit, you can totally tell when the people he has to work with do NOT want him around, and he still tries to keep the mood light.

  4. Jennie says:

I wanted Adam to win too ): Would have been a better show than Hukked 0n fonickz : Cuckin Edishun with McCargo.

Glad he has a sense of humor, he should sign up and be active on the comments!

  5. Sarah says:

The more I am subjected to Aaron McCargo, the more I think this Gertler fellow was robbed bigtime.

Will Work For Food was a typical road/field trip show made pretty good by Gertler’s interaction with some of the “subjects”.
Not surprised to see it cancelled due to heavy competion from other similar shows.

Maybe he has to humm on Bobby Flay or Tuschman to get back on.
I’d rather watch Gertler read the phone book for a half hour than try and understand McCargo’s gibberish.

  6. ummm…well…I’m going to bob dylan saturday night at the state fair. my wife is my date.

  7. Lana says:

Will Work for Food was canceled, wasn’t it? Totally bad call on the FN’s part. It was a pretty good show. And I liked Gertler too.

  8. Busta_91 says:

I liked Lisa Garza a hell of a lot better than Adam (that bitch could cook) but I agree, Adam would have been a better winner than Aaron McCargo. At least Melissa D’Preggo is slightly better than Amy Finley was, because she hasn’t gone crying off the show yet…oh wait, she did.

  9. FoodieOne says:

    @Busta_91

Not to be off topic here, but, I’m sorry, Lisa Garza looked WAY too much like a Romulan to be taken seriously. I hate to judge by appearences, but good Lord that bitch was strange looking!

  10. Busta_91 says:

^Yeah, I know. But she had some spunk to her and she could cook hella better than Aaron or Adam. Her pretentiousness did bother me though.

  11. she should have won despite her occasionally strange look.
had her pegged from the git go and she let me down.

though I did also pick mellishit and jeffrey as the ones to beat last year and look where that got me?

  12. oh_come_on says:

FoodieOne:I’m sorry, Lisa Garza looked WAY too much like a Romulan….was strange looking!

I loated Lisa, sorry, but the crying, ALL the time, her heels/skirts in the kitchen, her head wraps, her arrogance OMG! If I had to listen to her chatter about cassolet, haricot verts and her son’s sophisticated palette on FN it would’ve been the end of me.

  13. Robb says:

I liken Lisa more to an anime character, although I could see her as some sort of Romulan/anime amalgamation.

But Adam needs to be on something, quick. He’s just flat-out entertaining, and it would be a waste to not use him.

  14. Lana says:

<< raises her hand to use Adam.
    *snicker*

  15. Motzi Greps says:

Adam was waaaaaaaaaay better than Aaron McGhetto Jr but a far cry from Lisa Stiletto Garza. His food totally blew and so any real cooking show would be out of the question. He just comes across as a guy who belongs in a big pickle costume shilling at the mall for Vlasic. His show is a total ripoff of Dirty Jobs!

God, how funny was the Romulan’s c*ockup as a wine angel in Vegas? Best episode ever…

  16. Teague says:

@ Motzi I remember that challenge that was when it was clear the fix was in for Big Dummy…er Daddy.

They each had to do promos.

-Adam had to do a choreographed dance routine with show girls.
-Lisa was hoisted up three stories suspended by wires.
-And Aaron he had to walk across a room…and he was still horrible. The worst of the lot..

No fan of Lisa glad she has disappeared back into the outlet malls of Texas but she was screwed on that challenge.

  17. a says:

yeah i think it’s safe to say nearly everyone wanted him to win.

  18. Scoobie-Doobie-Doo says:

There seems to be a silent current at the FN of making nice with the runner’s up of these challenges. Have you noticed John Besh showing up as a Judge on a couple FN shows recently? He was good, and FN knew it. Adam had his (ill fitting) program, so perhaps Jeffrey Saad will get his shot, too. Maybe FN needs to change the outcome of these Challenge shows so that there’s not a Final One, but a Final Couple they can exploit during an entire season.

Adam is pretty original, sort of like the Brian Boitano program. I’d like to see him get another shot.

  19. I actually wrote episode recaps of that season of NFNS over at Pophangover. I was gunning for Adam the whole time, and when Aaron McCargo won, I just couldn’t believe it. I was stunned, and we were flooded with comments and emails from people who were genuinely pissed!

Here’s the episode recap from that awful final episode: http://pophangover.com/?p=379

  20. DesignerJeans says:

Lisa Garza = The Romulan that wore Prada

  21. I saw Dylan with Willie Nelson a while back. He had a guitar propped up against his electric keyboard, but he never touched it.
Since he was in Kissimmee FL, I wonder if they had BBQ ribs back stage..

BTW, I hope you really, actually get to go.
And do some ‘cooking’ after the show.

  22. Trudy says:

Adam really is awesome. He’s cute and he’s funny. There is nothing to hate about the guy.

  23. Princess Crazypants says:

He’s cute. He should have won. It took me a few seconds to remember who DID win. He definitely had a sparkly personality. He should have a show with Brian Boitano.

  24. Chocolate Chip says:

Umm,… I know this is off-topic, but does anyone know what happened to Brian Boitano? I haven’t seen his show in a while. It was actually pretty funny, now that I think about it.

  25. byrdie says:

Chocolate Chip, I searched (as much as one can search on FN since that site SUCKS) and I couldn’t find anything. I also checked out his personal website and the only appearances mentioned (through January 2010) are skating events. So, who the hell knows. Too bad too, because he’s fun to watch.

  26. bende says:

    mad monopoly fuuuuuuuuunnnnnnnnnnnnnnnny
