OH my goodness! I am a HUGE food network fan but I love to make fun of it as well. This is the first time I've seen your site and I have been laughing hysterically for the past 10 minutes.

She's selling garbage bowls? Egads. And a plastic box you have to buy refills for? You mean, like a garbage can, mini version? Are people that lazy/in that much of a hurry/have that much disposable income/have that much counter space?

$250 indeed. I wonder how much RR will make off of that?

Great post, do more!

The Reynolds Wrap people are selling something similar in the supermarket. Its basically a plastic box that you buy refill bags for. Me, I just take my pasta pot and line it with a supermarket bag.

"Is RR seriously making money off of that idea?"

Sadly, yes. I was flabbergasted when I saw a prominent display of RR's garbage bowls (in three fugly colors) at Barnes & Noble last month. If someone wants to spend $20 on one of RR's cookbooks, that's one thing, but wasting $20 on a frickin' plastic bowl is insane!

Gads. Just get a mixing bowl, put it near where you are working, put your onion skins or garlic peels in it, and walk it to the disposal or trash when you're done. Then take the $35 bucks and buy yours self somethin' real purty....
