They are both equally lame in their own special way, lol.

I was hoping you would comment on the stupid Martha Rachael feud that’s all over the internet. They both suck at life, but at least Rachael seems gracious.

I watched the video where Rachael responded to Marthas insults and I thought Rachael really held back. On the outside she said she agreed with Martha’s comments but on the inside she looked like she wanted to rip her bony head off.

Martha Stewart is the queen of smug. I want to smack that smile off her her face. I’m not any fan of Rachael Ray but there’s no need to publicly dis someone like that behind their back, especially after you just made nicey-nice to her face on her show. Martha lost some points in my book.

  5. November 20th, 2009

I dunno though. When you’re right Martha, you’re right! Now that’s a good thing.

    :P

First of all, I am no fan of Rachel Ray. However, she does provide quick, relatively easy recipes that most everyday folks can both afford to cook and accomplish with relative ease. Martha, on the other hand, elevates herself onto a pedestal of perfection that very few individuals can ever live up to. That being said, Rachel makes “the folks” feel as though they can get in the kitchen and succeed at a meal. Martha, though, puts forth an image that only makes most people feel inadequate.

I’m not a fan of RR, either. However, in a contest of personality and graciousness, Martha is the clear loser. I’d rather watch paint dry than listen to her drone on about how to “correctly” prepare things most people have neither the time or budget for. Any criticism coming from a former inmate, with or without a freaking garden, is really a hoot.

  9. November 20th, 2009

@BOO lol. I think those posts show up in phases. We should be bust free for a while (see posts from last week).

By the way, don’t drive off the edge of the road on Martha’s property IF you should ever get an invitation to her home. Did you see her scold her farm staff last night on Nightline for accidentally “veering off the edge of the roads” on her farm? Incredible!

  11. November 20th, 2009

You really need to do more of these knock knock joke posts, they always kill me.

I find the whole thing kind of refreshing in an odd way. It’s makes a nice change to see someone being honest about their thoughts about another. Granted to timing was a little odd as they were play ‘house’ on each others shows the other day.

Yuletide season can’t come in — it’s TOO EARLY!

I’m still trying to figure out why Martha would just randomly diss Rachael out of the blue.
    ?

I think Rachael responded politely because her mom raised her right, i.e. not to be rude to her elders, heh.

And remember – any time you get annoyed with your mother for any reason, thank your lucky stars that your name is not Alexis Stewart :(

RayRay to Martha: Yeah, but “yule” always be a convicted felon.

@Dan- I agree – Rachael’s response was that of shock and disappointment. And I felt bad for her. Rachael clearly found out about it that very minute. And I really wish I Rachael did not have to put her self down for the sake of being gracious!

Martha is a mean bitch. I watched her recently on an old “Cooking with Julia” show on PBS and she was downright rude and domineering. Julia should have taken one her chicken boners and ended the nightmare that was to come.

I can’t believe anyone is sticking up for Ray-Ray! She does a terrible job of showing people how to cook! Her food is crappy looking, she can’t even toast bread without burning it! I just hate the Bakeware garbage she sells, and says she can’t bake! Then all it is, is slapping your name on something for a few bucks. I have no problem with Ray making money, good for her, but sell something you know something about! Martha may be a bitch, but one that can really do what she says, so I respect her.

    November 21st, 2009

Martha’s always been a snob, so why all the shock?

I thought her dig about RRay not having a garden was hilarious! Right Martha, ever heard RRay talk about gardening? Are ya stupid?

Would we presume RRay’s ratings are higher than Martha’s?

  28. Annie
    November 21st, 2009

Oh yes RR show is wiping the floor with Martha. Ya know if Rachael was a bitch and dissed Martha in any way I would say GO Martha- but Rachael has been nothing but gracious towards that old hag!!!

  29. oh_come_on
    November 21st, 2009

Exactly my point ANNIE, Martha’s jealousy is leaking out. Funny to watch.

  30. Gregg
    November 21st, 2009

Martha may be a bitch, but she does know what’s she’s talking about and has something worthwhile to offer. On the other hand, Miss EVOO is one of the most obnoxious people on TV and I’m sick of seeing her joker smile plastered all the over place online, in magazines and in stores. The products that have her name on them are ugly, overpriced pieces of crap that the lemmings buy because they don’t know any better. And since when are TV ratings any indication of good quality or taste? Just because the public is being fed crap doesn’t mean that it tastes good. I’d be gracious, too, if I was in Ray Ray’s position. Being able to make ten of millions of $$$$ while being a no talent hack is better than winning the lottery.

  31. November 21st, 2009

I liked Martha and Rachael in their early days on TV. Both became self-absorbed with themselves and their fame, and I grew to dislike both of them over time. Martha’s jail sentence didn’t help her image, imo, and RR has grown more obnoxious than I ever imagined. I’ve lost any respect that I might have had for either of these egocentric women.

That said, I would never buy anything with Ratched’s name but have purchased some Martha Stewart items at Macy’s: kitchen towels/oven mitts, salt & pepper mills with refills for both, and some cozy flannel sheets. Some of Martha Stewart’s household items are a good thing ;)

Don’t really care for either, but I personally think Martha’s coming across as a bitch for the timing of the bashing.

  33. froglegs
    November 21st, 2009

@JoJo. I agree. It took Martha a lifetime to make her fortune. RR did it is a few years!!

  34. froglegs

IN a few short years! Sorry.

  35. The Watcher

RR is not the world’s finest chef, but she gives good show and makes people feel good about their 45 minute meal.

Martha engaged in a fairly serious crime by insider trading, and she should have been banned from any public company operation after her conviction. The fact that she is allowed to be critically involved in the company is an insult to each of her victims. Throwing a verbal punch at RR is just icing on her nasty evil cake.

Stewart did not serve time for insider trading – she was convicted for obstructing justice (granted, the obstruction of justice occured during the investigation into her possible insider trading). Just wanted to clear that up.

OK, I am totally lost. What in the world has been going on with these 2? What is the deal with the fued?

Cherry Rose, I agree with the first portion of your comment. I would personally never buy anything with either of their names on it, though (orange is just not my color)…and the only K-mart within 100 mile radius of me (Martha’s junk) is going out of business.

    November 23rd, 2009

Yep nothing like multi millionaires sniping at each other…but I would rather eat at Marhta’s then with the queen of obnoxious TV..

  38. November 23rd, 2009

“…and the only K-mart within 100 mile radius of me (Martha’s junk) is going out of business.”

While I haven’t personally seen the K-Mart Martha Stewart products, I have seen many items advertised in magazines. The K-Mart line is not the same as the upscale Martha Stewart brand that is carried exclusively at Macy’s.

  39. November 24th, 2009

No surprise that Martha is a mean-spirited bitch. What cracked me up was her specific complaint about the way Rachel re-edits & recompiles her books. Not good enough for the ol’ dried-up-diva?

What about all those re-edited recompiled shows she strings together & calls “holiday specials” on Fine Living network? And “Whatever, Martha”?

Someone’s media empire is crumbling and they’re getting cranky.
