I came across this in a cruel twist of 6 Degrees of Interwebz Separation... I started looking for something relating to the Beatty name, then wandered into looking at a Beatty tartan, then found a recipe for Beatty's Chocolate Cake (I was so excited!! Who knew we had our very own cake?!) only to learn that Ina Garten STOLE the recipe from the back of a Hershey's Cocoa container. And thanks to @Rod Labbe, I now have coffee spattered all over my laptop. :-) I know this is an old post, but I just had to comment.

She actually printed a recipe for frozen berries with hot chocolate sauce in her cookbook late 2006, "Barefoot Contessa at Home". The recipe is a direct rip-off from a recipe that first appeared in the Delia Smith Magazine for J Sainsbury in the late 1990's. It's a classic recipe. Delia Smith is a well-known English television chef. That’s not all she stole. If this is all it takes to get a cookbook out and get big $$'s then I may go for it. Dont get me wrong I do like Ina's receipes and have made several of them and have her books too.
