Food Network Humor Is Now 1 Year Old

Food Network Humor just turned 1 year old – and what an amazing year it’s been!
Instead of doing the typical year-end wrap up, I wanted to take this opportunity to sincerely thank all of the readers and supporters of this blog. Because of you, Food Network Humor has evolved and grown into the bustling community of like-minded, truly hilarious people that it is today.
In all seriousness, FNH readers are some of the most loyal folks I’ve ever encountered in my 10 years of writing on the internet. I’ve continually been humbled and honored by your appreciation for – and dedication to – this silly little web hobby of mine. I hope I’ve given you all a few laughs over the past year, and hope I can continue to do so throughout 2010 as well.
I would be remiss if I didn’t give a big thank you to all the blogs and website editors who have been kind enough to continually link to our posts (especially Eater and Serious Eats), as well as to the plethora of celebrities who have embraced this website and sent readers our way as well. You’re all wonderful. Not only am I incredibly grateful for your support, but I’m also a big fan of the work you guys all do on a daily basis.
Finally, congratulations to the Food Network, who just had their most popular year ever. For all the bitching we all do about the direction their network has taken, they’re clearly doing something right, eh?
But enough about them. Back to us! Here’s how we did over the past year:
FNH BY THE NUMBERS (2009)
In our first year, there have been 676 posts and over 22,000 comments on Food Network Humor. (You guys sure do have a lot to say, and we sure do love hearing it.)
FNH received well over 6 MILLION PAGE VIEWS since Jan 1, 2009. Our most popular post was the Top 10 Biggest Food Network Foodgasms Of 2009, which received over 400,000 page views since it was posted just 2 weeks ago.
In September, the site was expanded to include a message forum and several new community features. Since then, FNH has welcomed over 1,000+ members.
2009 has definitely been a phenomenal year, but stay tuned for 2010. We’re just getting warmed up.

Wow! One entire year! I think my first encounter was in February, so I’ve been here nearly the entire time. And what a time it’s been! The growth and changes in this site have been incredible. Jillian, thanks for adding a positive, fun and thought-provoking posts!

Seriously and with dripping sarcasm, I have to “thank” the fine frickin’ folks at FN for bringing me to Jillian’s awesome website. I was searching desperately last summer for a blog where I could chat with others who thought TNFNS was a joke. Google brought me here, and I’ve enjoyed the site immensely ever since.

Somewhat similar to me. I discovered FNH as a result of watching TNFNS. As I recall I did a Google search on “Debbie Lee sucks” and this was the first site which came up. The rest, as they say, is history.
Jill, you make me laugh every single day. I don’t know how you do it, but you do. I’m stoked I found this place last year, and you have a reader for life. Or until you stop writing. Congratulations on one year, FNH. It is truly remarkable that this blog has hit all of those aforementioned milestones. Coincidentally, Aaron McCargo Jr. has spent the same amount of time trying to figure out what 5 + 3 is. He still has not solved that equation.
