Cant one stay true to their origins? Don't we live in a country where you have freedom of rights... I think its so awesome that she brings in her Mexican culture and adds it to the show. Because really it not only comes down to someones cooking when your watching a show but also their personality. Thats huge. Plus of course her meals that are deliciosos...;). My wife likes to watch the show for some of the recipes. We are native Spanish speakers and we get annoyed by Marcela's over enunciation. I wonder if the show's director makes the decision to annoy the public or if it is Marcela's personal style. The show reminds me of that Saturday Night Live skit with Jimmy Smits.
