2nd Annual Food Network Humor Oscar Awards
Posted on March 8th 2010 by Jillian Madison

Since the 82nd annual Academy Awards aired last night, we thought it would be appropriate to reflect on the past year and give out some awards to a few of the best and worst Food Network “stars” as well. We’re proud to present the recipients of the 2nd Annual Food Network Oscar Awards:

These are funny! Every time I see that BC episode I laugh at how Ina thinks she knows what kids like. Even more ridiculous is the white pizza with arugula on top of it. WTF?????

  2. Dave says:

I must admit I was hoping you’d do this again. Hilarious! And might I add, Giada’s bra truly deserved the best supporting role win.

  3. Eyeris says:

Yes, Paula, that thing DOES look like a penis! I remember that thing. I think it was supposed to be a skeleton bone for a cupcake or something.

  4. Gregory says:

Far more entertaining than last night’s unusually boring Academy Awards! Horray!

  5. Dan says:

No! The memories of that Bobby Flay Christmas commercial were just beginning to die! Make it stop!

  6. Busta_91 says:

    I love these, especially AG!

  7. I too thank giada’s breasts for all their appearances.

  8. lostinplace says:

Best Non-Animated Short: Aunt (hic) (urp) Sandy’s expressions whilst consuming Worst Hideous Use of Cream in a Beverage—Farmstand Lemonade. Drink Up, if you dare!

  9. CherryRose says:

    Bravo, Jillian!

How about “Worst Segue Music For A Food Network Show”?

IMO, the winner would be that hideous song for Robin Miller’s “Quick Fix Meals”. Hit the MUTE button!

    • Numb says:

Speaking of terrible music on Food Network, does that stupid competition song drive anyone else nuts? You know, the one that goes like “if you walk the walk you gotta back it all up, can you talk the talk”… It makes me absolutely insane because it makes ZERO SENSE. Why would you need to talk about your accomplishments to prove what you just proved by “walking the walk”… Ug. Seriously, it sounds like it was written and recorded in 5 minutes by a group of drunk nobodies. Sorry for the tangent, but damn that song/commercial make me INSANE.

    • Barb says:

Oh, god, the Robin Miller theme song. Gag. Robin, just how do you deal with your crazy life? Oh, I KNOW, you love it! Gag.

  10. Diane says:

Brilliant. Laughed out loud at the Alex Guarnaschelli one! :)

  11. christellar says:

LMAO – “…twisted and tangled. LIKE MY SOUL”

    u guys are genious

  12. TooHotTamales says:

How about “Best Score”: Brains 1, Guy Ferry 0

  13. [...] Food Network Oscars: Brian Boitano scores the Best Constipated Face award. [FNH] [...]

  14. Sandra Lee's Liver says:

And the award for grungiest husband goes to…wait…its a tie…John Cusimano and Michael Grooooooooooooover!!! Congrats gentlemen!

  15. Another thing to add to the Giada drinking game: Every time she says, “look at that.” Also, whenever she says, “I’m so excited!”

    • DonDon says:

What about the “MAKES IT LOOK FESTIVE” line and the “EXTRA SPECIAL”. She’s saying those phrases while she puts a dollop of whipped cream on a cup of cocoa. WTF!

  16. cloverleaf says:

Good stuff, Jillian! I think Paula would ask “Does this thing look like a penis to all y’all?,” though. Just a tiny quibble. ;)

  17. froglegs says:

Giada has cartoon hands. Marge Simpson comes to mind.

  18. DonDon says:

Cocktail Time With Sandra Lee. Everyone in the world needs to see this video at least once. I’m still laughing. http://is.gd/9Lb8M 4 days ago.

I just watched the video that the above Twitter is referring to. OMG. Watch it, Sandra Lee’s eyes become black towards the end, like she’s the spawn of the devil.

  19. Barb says:

    Fabulous!

  20. tra says:

    LOL! u rock.

  21. Tom says:

Who gets the award for over-using the word “Perfect”? ;) When I saw Paula’s skeleton cookie all I could think was “Poor Paula! She’s obviously using Michael’s twig and berries as reference!”
