Hey FNH! I just wanted to bring a few new member features to your attention:

1) Friends List
Members will now be able to “friend” each other. Once your buddy accepts your request and you become friends, you’ll be able to follow each other’s comments and activities from your profile page.

2) Private Messaging
By popular request, private messaging is here! Before you can send a private message to someone, you must be FRIENDS with them.

3) Twitter-like Updates
Members can now add Twitter-like updates to their profile page. Also following in Twitter’s footsteps, you can  mention other members anywhere on the site by writing the @ symbol before their user name. For example, you could mention me by writing @admin in a comment or status update, or you could mention Michelle by writing @Michelle. Mentions let you know someone was referring to you.

4) Activity Streams, Favorites, And Extended Profiles
Each member will now have their own activity stream on their profile. There, you can see your mentions, your site activity, and the activity of all of your friends. You will also be able to “favorite” comments, and they’ll all be saved in one place for you to view whenever you want.

It is also much easier to upload an avatar, change your password, and edit your profile. You can do all of that via links in the black bar at the very top of the page.

Current members, sadly your old profile photos and information will no longer be available. Be sure to update your new profile and add an avatar!
