Who thought it would be better with Claire Robinson hosting? She is so painful to listen to.
This week it’s chocolate roller coasters……(translation- we’re running out of good themes) I enjoy watching cakes crash, when they bring on that Stevie chick who is a rebel and breaks the rules and annoys Kerry Vincent in particular, and when their sad special effects don’t work right for some reason. They must be incorporating the special effects more since the competing show on TLC requires the moving parts, etc.

Wow, didn’t realize that Challenge is such an effective weight-loss and hair-growth program! ;)

  3. anjarew says:

I love this show… for me to poop on.

  4. Edgar says:

Hey I’m offended by this new article, Food Netwrok Challenge is great when I need to go to sleep or I’m babysitting and I’ll just sit the kids in front of the TV and just like that they’re out of it.

  5. Gypsy says:

Totally. When it’s the top of the hour and you know a show is about to start, and it turns out to be “Challenge”…then you groan, and usually change the channel.

  6. rocks67 says:

Who’s brilliant idea was it to give hosting duties to the “blow-up doll” konwn as Claire??? I cannot look at her face without seeing that picture of an inflatable doll she was once compared to. Besides that, she has THE most annoying voice and condescending attitude, second only to Carrie/Karie (I never did learn how to spell her name).

  7. BCA says:

I don’t mind non-cake challenges. Of course, that means I almost never watch Food Network Challenge.

  8. mojito-bandito says:

If you are watching Challenge, you have chosen unwisely!

  9. TennisAce says:

As soon as I saw Claire’s face I changed the channel. Her voice is annoying and as someone said she does have a snobbish way about her. As if these so-called celebrity chefs were not lame enough on their own shows, now we must watch them being even lamer on a challenge show. Give me a break already. I used to love the challenges because they would really go out of their way to make it interesting. One of my favourites was the Hawaiian luau done sometime ago. Still remember that whole pig roasting in the pit. These days it just seems like I am seeing the same faces all the time. How about going out into the American hinterlands and having viewers challenge each other in real competitions.

I got through about two minutes before I decided my time would be better spent cleaning toilets or committing arson.

  11. Kelley says:

    ROFLMAO!

The post itself was funny but the comments are even funnier!

  12. Scruffy says:

Hell is a marathon of Challenge and Ace of Tards. Who am I kidding, hell is the entire channel with Good Eats preempted by the 700 Club and old Grilling and Chilling episodes!

  13. Chris says:

This show would be a hell of a lot more exciting if the challenges were more… ‘challenging’. I already know that each contestant is there to showcase their culinary ability and camera presence; now throw in some twists and turns to make things more interesting.

The majority of said contestants are fun and amusing. “I want to have your babies!” should go down in history as one of the wackiest comments made (and aired) on Food Network. We’ll have to see what this evening’s episode brings.

    • Chris says:

… and of course, I comment on the wrong show. Smooth, Chris!

I agree in regards to Claire as their host of choice for ‘Challenge’. It’s not so much her voice that bothers me, but her overall ‘presence’. Her mind seems to race in different directions constantly, which results in a rather awkward end result.

  14. lisa says:

Plese get Claire off this show!!! She is Horrible, and says the word “Awesome” way too much! She is fake and seems like she just wants to be on TV…very painful to watch!

  15. Wonder why Keegan is hosting this new Challenge – Candy Coasters. Claire isn’t good enough for Hershey’s, I guess.

  16. Diane says:

    LMAO!!! Yep…that’s about it. :D

  17. Supervisor194 says:

You are so totally a redditor.

  18. MASCAR-PONAY says:

    Where’s his freakin’ neck?!

  19. Jimmy Johnson says:

The next food network “challenge” should be to produce a show worth watching.

  20. Grant says:

I love food network, I would love to inquire more about ; trying out for a new season.
I would like to know if video, chef req: ment

  21. meg says:

LOL! thanks for all your great content!
(btw why can’t the food network learn to spellcheck? the other day i saw them spell it “jalepeno” on the next food network star when Aria made that jalapeno mac & cheese)

  22. Charles says:

I liked the Sesame Street one.
    One competitor made muppet judges.
“I’m Cookie Vincent! Your cake was awful!”

  23. Mark says:

Do try to stop this Kerry Vincent person. Just terrible. I think she hates Americans and our cake… And apparently our hair products.
No really, do try to stop her. Let’s have no more of mean self on our televisions.
    Boo! Booooooooo! To Kerry Vincent.
