THIS WEEK: Another tailgating weekend! Alex G's onion rings, an awful slow cooker experience, Ina & Jeffrey Garten's lame steak throwdown, Jennifer Hudson's annoying Weight Watchers commercial, Restaurant Impossible's cheap makeovers, and more.

Just a heads up-the After Dark event with Alton Brown has sold out.
I almost snarfled tea out my nose at the Ina “hand double” segment. Incredibly hilarious podcast. I’ll definitely fill out your survey. :) Thanks ladies!
I’m downloading it now, and I’ll be playing tonight. So did FN completely take over the NYC Wine & Food Festival?
Love the blog, and I’m really enjoying the new podcast.
One thing I have a big disagreement with is Aarti. I was reading/watching through her blog the other day. I really don’t think she’s fake. She seems to be genuinely charming.
Keep up the good work, ladies!
OK, I listened to the podcast and got some more laughs out of it! I hope you consider making the reading of Alex G’s sexiest tweets a regular feature… I was getting all hot and bothered after hearing about all those cookies! :-D
Oh yes, and forking over $200 to see “Queen YUM-O!” in person is just a rip-off. I did Vegas Uncork’d last month, and I paid less for multi-course meals with real chefs like Bradley Ogden and Joel Robuchon!
Yes Jillian,
The custard in Missouri was worth it.
Another great podcast. I, too, loved the reading of Alex G.’s Twitter posts… Soooo delicious.
I’m convinced Ina Garten is using a hand double in the “Let me show you how I did it segments”. There are shots where you can see the fingers are too slender to be Ina’s.
I am really loving the site guys, and you’re doing a fantastic job with the podcasts! I am not a fan of podcasts in general and yours is the first I’ve ever bothered to revisit so you know they have to be good/
P.S. I’ll even back that up with a donation to the site ;)
Pete, you can get a fine, funny item from the FNH store. Check it out by clicking on the link at the top of the page. I just got the “GOOD” mug last week! :)
Laugh out loud podcast. I wish it were longer!
Love the Tweets readings…I think you could do amazing things with other FN personalities’ tweets as well.
Survey completed. Thanks for the laughs, this is one of my favorite sites of all time! =)
“It’s not like she was born ugly, she was making herself that way” – HAHAHAHA!
Ya know, Alton went to Ted Drewes for the frozen custard during his first Feasting on Asphalt trip, which aired way back in 2006. B. Flay was only dining on A.B.’s leftovers! ;)
Friggin’ hilarious! Luv the podcasts!
I enjoyed the podcast!
Some comments: I like bitchy, mean Alex. That was the fun part about her when she was judging on Chopped. It always seemed like she was the one who got sand in her mussels or a big hunk of uncooked onion. I looked forward to her comments and the tension she caused. Then when I saw that she has her own show I wondered how that would work. She has obviously had to take the mean down a step or two and show her nice side to survive.
I am a big fan of Nigella. I wish we could see more British chefs on FN like Nigel Slater or Yotam Ottolenghi.
Paul Deen’s sons always look like they just rolled out of bed in the clothes they slept in. Unwashed and a bit crusty. They kind of gross me out when I see them handling food.
Well, what can I say. The Alex G. sensual Tweets..umm made me laugh for like two days straight. I wouldn’t complain if you had more content like that on your future podcasts. My “fave” was “…also like, stuff like….” Jillian, omg. Whenever I need a pick-me-up….guess where I’m goin’.
