As it turns out, unnecessarily censoring the Food Network can be pretty hilarious. Who knew?

THIS WEEK: Ina Garten's "beginner" recipes, new Food Network shows starting in September, thumbing through an issue of Semi-Homemade magazine, Rachael Ray's daytime talk show, Aarti's "accountability group", Claire Robinson on Big Daddy's House, another sensual reading of Alex Guarnaschelli's tweets, sink or swim voicemail, and much more.
Okay, that gave me a MUCH-needed laugh. My favorite is Jeffrey’s censored laptop…hmmm…wonder what trips Jeffrey’s trigger? Shentsunbuttoned.com?
or maybe a white shent? Such a welcome change from black…
Another day of learning valuable information from Foodnetworkhumor.com. I had no clue what a shent was and the Internet was being very unkind. I had to urban dictionary it and looks like Barefootcontessa has some influence over there too:

SHENT is a word I made up a few months ago to describe Ina Garten’s shirts. Smaller than a tent, but bigger than a shirt! It’s a SHENT!

Who knew, indeed? This was insanely funny. The two Ina screencaps and Giada’s pork chop blur had me on the floor. Ina holding up that huge green blur, and that look on her face, has me cracking up even now. Good work!

I lol’ed so hard at the one with Giada flipping everyone the bird that my wife came all the way up from downstairs just to see what the heck I was doing. Then she laughed too. Both of us were a bit nauseous over the Rachel Ray one though. Is it just me, or does everyone feel a bit sick in the pit of their stomach when thinking of Rachel in any kind of sexual context?
Also, is it just me, or does Ina not photograph well? Don’t get me wrong, I love her to death but unlike on the live show, most of the still pics I’ve seen of her are downright b-a-d.
