THIS WEEK: Ina Garten's "beginner" recipes, new Food Network shows starting in September, thumbing through an issue of Semi-Homemade magazine, Rachael Ray's daytime talk show, Aarti's "accountability group", Claire Robinson on Big Daddy's House, another sensual reading of Alex Guarnaschelli's tweets, sink or swim voicemail, and much more.

Bobby Flay’s & Tyler’s = classic.
I love these! You should make it a weekly feature!
These are hilarious. I think the Pat Neely one is my favorite, with Tyler’s a close second.
OMG I just howled over these…at work! Keep ‘em coming! My favorite was Paula Deen’s grandbaby names that she has no use for. I always thought Bobby was a polesmoker…not that there’s anything wrong with that!
LOVED Tyler Florence’s status!
this is hilarious!
i agree with jenna on the weekly feature thing.
These are great! My favorite: Ina’s advice to Aarty Farty.
Classic and on target. (Yes, I am one of Ina’s fans -she has her quirks, so what! Unlike Melissa Dee, she does not starve her guests.)
Well, there was that one episode where Ina left the French lady in the sitting room reading a coffee-table book (though there was no word on whether or not it was a GOOD coffee-table book; it was probably about Pres. Carter’s energy policy) while she prattled on and on in the kitchen about GOOD vanilla and GOOD shents and such . . .
I loved Ina’s snarky comment to Aarti. Hahahaha! Amazing.
LOL! These are great but you need ones for Guy and Alex G!
Never mind, I see you covered Guy in the previous ones! LOL!
I was wondering when Anne’s overusage of salt would be recongnized. Fistfulls, for real. AND!! she touches raw meat and puts her hands back in the same salt pot for EVERYTHING.
I’ve seen her season chicken with the same salt she used in a salad.
Is “Kid in a Candy Store” over? If so, how sad!
I love how Anne only gives salt to Sunny and goes to a movie with Claire.
Anthony Bourdain was nominated an Emmy because he’s an actual chef and he has an actually intelligent show that is NOT on Food Network, and he actually has knowledge about the culinary world so much so that he owns a four star fine dining restaurant – you can’t say the same for Alton Brown. He is a cool dude though, but he is not as high-up as Anthony Bourdain.
Maybe it’s because Bourdain’s show is real, while Brown’s is a dog and pony show! Brown is just an entertainer who gets fed all that interesting info from a well staffed research department, while Bourdain is a real chef, who paid real dues in real kitchens, and is respected by every chef in the world who’s somebody! Brown uses fancy bells and whistles to explain a recipe in detail, while Bourdain uses a cameraman to show us an entire culture in detail.
How can anyone even compare the 2??? If they had to compete for the same category of best show, it only makes sense that Bourdain should get the nod over Brown!
I like Alton Brown but Anthony Bourdain’s show is very good too. I am surprised it is not on Food Network.
It is not on Food Network because it is a very good show.
Tony had a show on the FN in 2002 called A Cook’s Tour.
