New Websites, Coming Right Up!

Published on: July 27, 2010 – 11:23 am by Jillian Madison Comment

We’re getting ready to simultaneously launch an unprecedented 8 (yes, eight!) new websites, and we’d love to feature your photos and stories on them! Here’s a quick rundown of some of the websites, the content we’re looking for, and where to send it:

THE WORST THING I EVER ATE will be the complete opposite of the Food Network’s “Best Thing I Ever Ate.” We’re looking for brief stories about the worst hamburger, pizza, beverage, snack food, seafood, or any other food that you’ve ever had. It could be from a restaurant, or something you purchased at the store. Why was it awful? Where did you get it? Photos are preferred but not required. So the next time you’re eating something and found yourself thinking, “you know what? That was the worst thing I ever ate” – snap a photo of it with your camera phone and send it to us! Maybe you can spare someone else from going through the same agony! Contact address: worstthing@pophangover.com

FUNNY RECEIPTS is pretty self explanatory. Is it a receipt? Does it say something funny? THEN WE’D LOVE IT! Contact address: funnyreceipts@pophangover.com

SPELLING FAILS will be a collection of humorous, idiotic spelling errors that we all encounter on a daily basis. If you happen to come across a funny and/or stupid spelling error that you’d like to share with the world, snap a photo and send it to us! It can be from the internet, the office, television, product packaging… anywhere, really. It’s all fair game! Contact address: spellingfails@pophangover.com

SHIT I SAW AT WORK will be a photo blog of the funny, crazy, and/or ridiculous things people saw while at work. Whether you work in an office, in a restaurant, in the mall, or on the moon, if you saw something funny, outrageous, or breathtaking while on the job, we want to see it! Whip out that camera phone and take a photo! Contact address: sisaw@pophangover.com

And now, back to your regularly scheduled Food Network snark!

Worst thing: Uno’s pizza. I don’t know if it was just that one or if they still suck, but the tomato sauce and cheese tasted totally rotten!

Worst: ANYTHING from McDonalds. Will be looking for the websites.

I really do know the difference between a period and a comma, but apparently my fingers do not.

This sounds like an expansion like Cheezburger, just 128% better. Will follow all sites.

Worst: Hulkster Cheeseburgers. Not only is the box wrong (it has athe worst timeline of the Hulkster’s career I’ve ever sen), but the burgers taste so bad, my dog wouldn’t even eat them!

What are the others? This sounds fun, can’t wait.

Hmm…I think the worst thing I ever ate was the “Special Burger” at a theme park concession stand in Taegu, Korea.

And keep in mind, I’ve eaten everything from dried jellyfish to fried ants before. This topped them all.

Looking forward to wtiea.. My presite teaser: saw Bo Jackson at food show in Atlanta back in 2005 promoting “Bo burgers”..

    Bo: “how are they fellas?”
us: (smile) “mmm!” (promptly spin around and discreetly spit in trash can)

Thank you guys so much for answering my voice-mail. I feel like the lack of diversity of Meals on the Food Network makes many people look onto the internet for new recipes seriously. It’s kind of shame really…but, atleast we know the internet can provide new cooking techniques and new ingredients to use. (Makes me even more annoyed how Jeffery Saad lost, because I feel like I’d watch him to learn)

I’ll keep an eye out of these future blogs. By the way, I’m a big fan of Gordon Ramsay, and I’ll be sure to tell you how Master Chef is.

I submitted a story to Worsts. (I’m a journalism major and in print, so I don’t know the meaning of a one-sentence story or just a photo, although I didn’t think to photograph the little bugger when I ate it.) I won’t spoil it here but it involves dental work. Maybe you’ll see!

This sounds like a great site to post my least favorite meals while dining out. I am a cook by trade and most of the drek that I get around here I can cook at home for myself with better results. Needless to say, we don’t eat out too much.

I am ignorant on how to post photos and I don’t have a phone with a camera anyway.

Shit I saw at work is the best damn site ever!!! (I hope.) You should hear some of the shit I put up with every day!!

    I’ll rant later.

Saw a guy taking a dump between two parked cars in my office parking lot this week…shame I didn’t have my camera!
