  1. I, for one, love those shownotes!

  2. Flyingroo says:

Someone really watches all those shows?!?

  3. Greg says:

    great podcast!

  4. RobertGBP says:

Anybody see the recipe for the mashed potatoes that Clair made? Can’t find it one the FN site, and it sounds really good.

    • Neel says:

I don’t know the amounts…but she basically boiled yukon gold potatoes, then put it through a “ricer” to give it a really smooth texture. Then she added cream, butter, minced rosemary, and blue cheese. She mixed it together and spread it over a baking dish and then topped with more blue cheese and then baked it in the oven until the top was brown.

Don’t know if that helps lol. But that’s what I remember. Might try it myself. it looked good!

    • Lisa says:

Has anyone found the recipe for the braised chicken?

  5. Nico says:

Love the way you say “horrible” :]

  6. SockMonkey says:

Great podcast!! Looking forward to the next one.

  7. John says:

Haha! Great podcasts this week. Also thanks so much for including my voicemail on the podcast. I’m the “mystery caller” that sounds like Brad (sorry for ruining the mystery). I never realized I sounded like Brad UNTIL I heard my voice on the podcast. XD

    • Kelley says:

Uh… I didn’t think you sound like Brad… but I did like your voice so whatever, right? LOL

Great podcast girls! I LOL’d when Jillian, sounding appalled said: “he did not go there!” to the whole “slamba lamba ding dong” or whatever the f*ck he said.

  8. Lana says:

Haha. Right “John.” Whatever you say. ;-)

Ladies, great podcast. I am completely flummoxed by the whole cupcake thing too. I mean, sure. I like a cupcake now and then just as much as anyone else. But I do NOT understand how there can be a whole show about it, let alone two?!?

What is so very special about cupcakes?

And where are the spin off shows, “Pizza Wars,” “Nacho Wars,” and the one I most eagerly await, “Mashed Potato Wars?”

    Puhleeze.

  9. REPR11.12.65 says:

I LOVE that you say horrible and not whoreible like everyone I’ve ever met! Makes me feel not so alone <3

  10. Food Fan says:

I may have some information for the caller who asked if Ina had more than one house in the Hamptons…..

I remember a couple of seasons back she cooked a meal for the architect and a few others who built her barn out back. Hopefully my memory is correct. She has her home and in the backyard what I suspect is a studio/kitchen/office. The kitchen is an exact replica of the kitchen in her house.

Anybody know her address? We could check out the google satellite.

    Love your podcasts.

  11. Ms. Kira says:

Those shownotes are totally cute! <3 them! : )

  12. mark says:

Like the podcast, but thought it was weird that you found a way to criticize someone for getting their purse stolen…seemed kinda bitchy. I guess that’s the name of the game though.

  13. Spatuler says:

Brie is a complete natural. And btw, if anyone refers that anything is “cool beans,” then they should be sent back to the 70′s, when even the people of that era felt that expression was completey awkward and inappropriate. “Cool beans then?” Cool beans sounds like the most disgusting thing ever. I’d much rather be water-boarded than have to eat a cool bean. I don’t get it. Just keep your “cool beans” away from me or I’ll get all MMA on your ass.

  14. Ann says:

Jillian sounds too much like Mo Rocca, hard to listen to this but good humor/info otherwise.
