THIS WEEK: Another tailgating weekend! Alex G's onion rings, an awful slow cooker experience, Ina & Jeffrey Garten's lame steak throwdown, Jennifer Hudson's annoying Weight Watchers commercial, Restaurant Impossible's cheap makeovers, and more.

It can’t just be me noticing that all the ‘men’ on The Food Network/the Cooking channel seem a bit – a lot actually – on the ‘metrosexual’ side of life.
If that’s the permanent marketing plan for the network……. Yo, people in charge at the network…… Most of America ain’t like that.
Really?
And whatever the case, who cares? It would certainly be nice to see more gay people outside the stereotypical roles on fashion shows, “Real Housewives” shows, and the ridiculous stuff on Logo.
I think Doucheman talks out the side of his mouth so much because it’s stuck that way from giving all those BJs under the desk.
Seriously though, I don’t care a rat’s patootie if the boys at TFN are packin’ the fudge. It’s the idiotic programming and foolish hosts that are so inept and irritating. I don’t need them to be “like me.” I need them to know WTF they are talking about when it comes to food. Newsflash: Most of America is retarded. :P I think they’ve hit THAT demographic.

FTW!
And thanks for the reality check. :-)
i love the subtle things in the pic. sure the anatomically correct rolling pin just brings the lulz, but i love the nice touch of showing how overpriced the FN kitchen items are, penis-pins or whatever. 50 bucks? sounds about right!
There is no ambiguity about Chiarello. He’s as gay as the day is long. JMO, I have no proof.
Funniest. Thing. Evah.
Totally funny, Reg! And great mini of what the FN show index pages look like. Love the “featured product.”
;-)
Hilarious! I love the one bout Brian Boitano.
btw, is his show cancled? anyone know?
Hmmm… “Borrowed” from my comment here http://foodnetworkhumor.com/2010/08/guest-post-new-food-network-sitcoms/#comments or just a coincidence?
Yeah, I mentioned to Jillian, in the PM I sent her, that the chop was inspired by a comment in another thread. And that I was imagining what a show like that would be like.
Sorry I didn’t give you credit for original idea, J-Man.
No problem … you took it a lot farther and made it a lot funnier!
Yikes! I’m gonna be having nightmares about that anatomically correct rolling pin. I don’t even want to know what dark, dank depraved corner of the ‘net they had to go in order to find that pic.
Somehow I would have expected that rolling pin to be on sale for $69.
Am I the only one who doesn’t think Chiarello is gay? I’ve met him twice and actually thought he was a huge flirt (yes, with women. LOL)
I’m not sure about Chiarello… he’s married, with kids (not that it proves anything), and I’ve never heard any confirmed sitings of him with any dudes.
That’s right… So honestly, I don’t know how wise it is to call him gay. He may not fit in the “he-man tough cook” stereotype, but frankly I appreciate that. Seriously, isn’t it irritating when Tyler Florence and Guy Fieri engage in their respective variations of this?
He may be straight, who knows. If he is though, he should take some “how to be butch” lessons from Brian Boitano.
What cracks me up is thinking about what my pie dough would look like if I used that rolling pin.
I knew I shouldn’t read FNH while drinking anything. Now I must clean my monitor and desk. Thanks for the spit take FNH.
