It’s Tuesday already…no recap on GZ’s first ICA battle?

I don’t watch Iron Chef – I hate it!
Oh damn! I was looking forward to your take on Sous Chef Guarnaschelli’s debut LOL
The best part was watching poor sous chef Guarnaschelli filet 78 brook trout. Also this was the first time ever that an Iron Chef received a perfect score of 60. GZ did something that even Morimoto has never done –> perfection!

Alex kind of made GZ look bad with her comments and sour puss. I understand the sous chef is supposed to help out and GZ was probably nervous, but is was almost embarrassing for her to be yelling at him like she was his mom. It seemed to undermine his Iron Chef status.
Yeah, she was all “don’t touch the soup…I BEG you” – like he was going to fuck it up or something.
That being said, I think she’d make an AWESOME sous chef to GZ, IMO.
…and P.S GZ got a perfect score of 60!!! When’s the last time THAT happened?
Noticed her show isn’t on weekdays anymore. For that matter, I’ve noticed they’ve cut out many cooking shows during the week. I used to watch this channel like a religion but it’s now Bravo and TLC
Actually, I don’t think the people who do the FN website have a clue here. Rachael Ray cooks while she preps, so they really shouldn’t be adding that 8 min. cook time to the 30 min. prep time because it should be included. I mean, if you read the whole recipe, there is no way that any of that prep time should be 30 minutes. This is clearly a fail on the web people’s part.
Actually this is a tacit admission of something that’s always been known but never publicly admitted: There’s no way in hell any of these 30 minute meals could actually be done in 30 minutes.
I agree, Jason. Her meals take longer to prepare than 30 minutes. I always wondered if anyone else could do em in that amount of time.

I totally agree. I’ve cooked a number of them, I admit, and there have been only a few that I’ve been able to complete in 30 minutes. I don’t have many RR recipes in my regular repertoire at all because I don’t usually think that they’re anything special. I also hate how she uses no fewer than 3-4 skillets/saucepans per recipe. Sure, you can *maybe* prepare the meal in 30 minutes, but it’ll take you an hour afterward to wash all of those pots & pans.
Unofficial word on the street is that NONE can actually be done in 30 minutes. So if you got any done in that time, you’ve outdone nearly everyone in America.

I saw a commerical on FN recently about Rachel Ray and Guy Ferry show special something like that.
I predict that show would be the most douchest stupid waste of time.
When u going to post what did u think of FN overall in 1 year? Remember last year u commented about some highlights and changes from FN.
Guy is the most douchest stupid waste of time even before the cameras start rolling. Adding RayRay and a bunch of D-list celebrities only enhances the whole douchiness factor to all that already is douchey about Mr. Ferry.
Seriously…Coolio? Taylor Dayne? Cheech Marin?
…Weren’t they all on Celebrity Rehab? *eyeroll*
At least this meal looks edible and really, sauteing shrimp and boiling up pasta shouldn’t really take that long unless you’re deveining the shrimp.
Or course any RR 30 minute meal will include a messy vegetable course, some store bought ice cream thrown into a dish sloshed with some licquer as dessert and a story about her grandpa.
