Love it! Where did the receipt come from? I’m trying to read some of the more obscenely priced items and can’t quite make out what they are.
Crazy funny. :)
Real expensive Cold Duck.
Did you see that $7,000 tip that was added?
They’re champagne and wines from some of the most expensive companies in the world. ($15,000 for 3 bottles of La Tache from DRC, etc…)
Speaking of new shows, I caught her new “Week in a Day” show where she makes 5 meals. She’s SO much calmer that it’s almost like she was shot with a tranquilizer dart, as opposed to 30-Min Meals where she appears to have bonged a 1/2 gallon of Red Bull.
I think she’s flamed out, burned out, ready to be out. Seems I read somewhere that she’s getting really tired of FN and her job…I dunno, but she does seem less irritatingly bubbly. Maybe she just needs a 7up.
Figures. As soon as I find her the slightest bit tolerable, she’s ready to throw in the towel.
OMG that pic of RR is hilarious, where did it come from? That’s the best one yet! She looks so tired in her new show. The recipes are exactly the same as 30 minute meals just cooked longer. How many f’ing times are you going to make a shepard’s pie!
Her new show doesn’t appeal to me, I can’t really imagine eating something 5 days after it was prepared.
Actually, I think the premise is she takes one day and cooks five meals for the week. Tells you how to store, how to re-heat and/or finish the meal on the day you’re going to serve it, etc.
It was some candid shot of her at (I believe) a farmers market, but it totally looks like the perfect “I Give Up” On Recipe Creation” gesture.
Great job, Mark!
Forty Grand a Day. priceless. Brilliant Mark!!
Mark, great job! Totally FNH-worthy. Where *did* you get that receipt?!?
I was eating a yogurt while reading this and 40,000 a day show caught me by surprise and made me laugh so hard that I actually spit it out everywhere.
The mess is worth it- hilarious!
Thanks guys. Here’s the story behind the receipt:

and here’s a better shot of the receipt: http://icantfindajob.files.wordpress.com/2009/11/waiterreceipt1.jpg?w=233&h=590
Ina would never drink twany port. Everyone knows vintage is the GOOD port. Geeze.
LMAO
ROFL at the $40,000 a Day idea. It would be a hoot to see that for real.
“Jeffrey’s been away all week, so after dinner I slathered him in truffle butter and rolled him in saffron…which is the stamen of crocuses, by the way. It’s really expensive, but it’s only the best for my Sweetie when it comes to some funky lovin’!”
OMG…Jeffrey being rolled in truffle butter and saffron kind of makes me want to vomit, no matter how true it probably is!
I got such a kick out of that $40G’s in a Day! I watch Ina religiously, but I have no idea if her recipes actually taste the way they are supposed to, since I have to buy the Kroger version of most of the ingredients!
Sorry for inducing vomit, Jayfo. Just remember to hurl into a GOOD Kroger bag. ;)
hear that LOL. Kroger doesn’t carry GOOD Vanilla or REALLY GOOD Gonzoella, however you spell it.
I just buy the cheap crumbled bleu cheese off the salad bar, still a happy camper.
lol that bacon “recipe” was almost as good as the one from “Hungry Girl” for strawberries dipped in pre-packaged chocolate pudding!
Have you seen the promos for “Bama Glama”? That’s a real show they’re doing, and it absolutely gives me the willies. Kind of like almost everything on FN nowadays.
BTW did they cancel “Pioneer Woman” or whatever
A Christmas episode of Pioneer Woman airs on Dec. 17, repeats on 18, 19 and 22 then more new episodes begin airing January 14 according FN Website.
Pioneer Woman, thankfully, only had 5 or 6 episodes slated, hopefully that train wreck is done. Bama Glama hasn’t premiered yet, but the previews, WTF? Looks sooooo stupid!
I just love Rach’s picture. Lol, it looks like she’s mocking her husband off-camera, talking with Giada, or something.
“…you know what he ALLLLWAYS tries? Get this, Giada–He says, Wull, can I just stick the head in a little?, a-hyuk, hyuk!”
“Pssh–what the hell? It’s not like I feel anything, anyway.”
I was watching Ina today, and liked what she was making, but thought about how EVERYTHING she makes must cost so much.
